You may be at sea, literally and figuratively, but you can still find love through the Woo app, just like Divya Kumar and Alok Gupta did.

She was just about giving up on love and romance, when a message from a guy on Woo dating app caught her eye.

He said, ‘Hi, are you a writer? That sure seems like an interesting profession… What do you write about?’

His interest in her work was a great conversation starter. In her mind, she thought, ‘When a man cares about your work, he truly cares about what’s important to you.’

So she decided to continue chatting with him on the Woo app…

They used Woo dating app’s messenger service, and started to get to know each better.

He worked with a shipping company, based out of Cochin. He was on ship for many days in the month.

She was first weary about him being a ‘shippie’ and all the connotations attached with that word… Shippies are known to have ‘a woman at every port’.

Moreover, she had met him through a dating app, Woo, would that make her look frivolous too?

Several questions and apprehensions plagued her mind, like it would for any girl on a dating app.

But she could feel it in her heart, that he seemed very different — extremely honest, reserved and shy…far from a casanova!

In fact, right at the first conversation on Woo dating app, he stated that he was going through a divorce and it would come through shortly.

He also told her that he didn’t want to meet till such a time as his personal issues were in order.

She lived in Mumbai, and meeting him would mean some amount of travel from her end too. While she wasn’t ready for that yet, she was open to chatting and getting to know him better on the Woo app.

Woo calling gave her the safe space to chat without revealing her identity, till she was sure about his intentions.

Luckily, he also could access Woo calling while on the ship… it worked perfectly well on sea too!

A long distance relationship was not what she initially had in mind…

She wanted to be with someone every day. But she soon realised that this was a small price to pay, as he seemed like the ideal guy so far, and totally understood her mind and life.

When she had just downloaded Woo dating and registered her details, little did she think she would find her dream guy while on the Woo app, and get attracted to him so soon.

She also liked the fact that he was sensitive and kind, expressing his feelings candidly, unlike other guys who just project a strong and macho image.

They chatted for a month or two on the Woo dating app, before they switched to Whatsapp.

They had both already shared their names and numbers with each other on Woo Dating app… She was Divya Kumar, and he was Alok Gupta.

The time came for them to finally meet…

Alok was soon about to move from Cochin to the next coastal town. In between, he decided to take a short weekend trip to Mumbai and meet Divya.

Divya was excited, but she didn’t know what to expect…

Alok’s conversations on Woo dating and Whatsapp had so far revealed that he was a fun-loving and sociable guy, and she was hoping he was similar in person too.

To her surprise, he was more fun than she expected — an easy-going amiable guy who she felt very comfortable with.

He arrived 20 minutes late at their first meeting, but more than made up for it during the day.

They started out with a casual lunch at a hip café in South Mumbai, then moved onto a movie, and finally ended the day with a quiet walk on Marine Drive.

The day was a dreamy one, and they chatted about several things, including their chance encounter on the Woo app…

It was difficult to say bye at the end of such a lovely day… But he had to fly back the next day, and said he would return soon.

In the meanwhile, they kept chatting… Of course they no longer needed the Woo app, but they were both surely grateful for it.

In a month or two, his divorce came through… Alok felt freer now, in mind and heart, to make a commitment, and give the relationship a direction.

They soon decided to take a holiday to Goa, and see if they could build a future together.

Woo dating app had brought them together, but now they needed to work on the relationship and bridge the gap that the distance had created…

The only way was to spend some quiet time together in a city that was convenient to both.

Divya was still hesitant to travel alone with a guy, but he reassured her and said they could get engaged first, if that was important to her.

Now Divya and Alok meet regularly once a month at a destination of their choice. They’ve been dating for six months, and are perhaps waiting for the time when they decide they want to live together.

Alok will soon be out of his ship posting, and will then be able to commit to being a full-time husband and life partner.

As of now the two are happy courting each other, and enjoying a quiet romance when they travel, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Long distance relationships definitely need a lot of work, and can often mean spells of loneliness…

But, Alok and Divya both know this is temporary, and better than being with the wrong person in the same city!

Thanks to Woo dating app, a man on sea connected with a woman on land, but it is now up to them to add the sizzle and unconditional love to their relationship, even if virtually and from a long distance.

The Woo app is a platform where you can meet and connect with diverse individuals of various age groups and professions… Download the Woo dating app, and add some love and romance to your life.
